RWBY Weapons
Weapons in the world of Remnant are either static (like any other weapon) or they can be enhanced with "Dust" to do things that would otherwise impossible, and it can also affect humans directly. So to better understand how Dust works in the RWBY universe, we need to first understand some things about the people of Remnant.

What is...?
Dust-
Dust is a naturally occurring core element that exists initially as crystals on Remnant, and then is refined into a form that powers both technology and enhances the abilities of weapons and human "Auras" and related "Semblances". Dust comes in different colors relating to different properties, such as Fire or Lightning to power certain weapons, items, and other things.
Auras and Semblances-
An Aura is essentially a person's "soul" on Remnant. All have some form of a "Semblance", which is like a physical manifestation of the soul. It is also sometimes described as a person's "superpower". Some can have and use multiple semblances, although that is relatively rare. Semblances manifest in many way, depending on the individual. For example, Ruby has her "Petal Burst" semblance, which allows her to literally deconstruct her physical body into a burst of rose petals! This can be useful in defensive moves evading enemies, or offensively giving her an advantage when attacking foes. It also gives her the ability to use her semblance to prevent death resulting from falls from great heights and other creative uses. Her primary weapon Crescent Rose is a transformable Scythe weapon and can change into, of course, a GUN!
Other examples are that Weiss can use Glyph magic (an extremely rare family trait), and Dust powers her Rapier/revolver Myrtenaster. Depending on In fact, I'm such a RWBY fan that I even own a 2021 17' Bayliner ski boat named "Myrtenaster", which is themed after Weiss's sword, but I digress...
The namesake character in the RWBY anime is Ruby Rose and her primary weapon is called Crescent Rose, which is a deadly mechanical Scythe that is ALSO a GUN. This was the original inspiration for me to create a website showcasing a sort of cross-over theme with my own real life weapon, and named her "Ruby Rose". This is essentially how I imagine Ruby might equip and 'Gucci out' (decorate) her own AR 15 here on earth -if she owned one. So as Ruby would say; "That's Tacti-COOL".

Each weapon of Stormflower are essentially dual-wielded pistols similar to an earth Colt 1911, but with Glock switches. ;) The guns each have integrated stabbing and cutting blades, and can also be thrown as boomerangs which return to their owner.
